Bill Snyder is the Best and Amaro Named Biletnikoff and Mackey Semifinalist

TE Jace Amaro received a note from one of the legends, Kansas St. head coach Bill Snyder, and was named a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff and Mackey Awards.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Congrats to TE Jace Amaro for being named a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff and Mackey Awards.  You can read all about it at the official site, but here's a bit:

Junior tight end Jace Amaro has been named a semifinalist for the John Mackey Award (nation's top tight end) and the Biletnikoff Award (nation's top wide receiver).

UPDATE: I received an email from the chairman of the Biletnikoff Award and he wanted to clarify that this award goes to the nation's top receiver, not wide receiver. The quote above is from Texas Tech's official site and I don't feel comfortable revising their quote, so this is my best attempt to correct this.

Earlier today, Amaro tweeted a hand-written note from Kansas St. head coach Bill Snyder:

This is why Coach Snyder is awesome and one of the best ever. For those of you that can't read the notes, here's a transcript:

You've had a great year Jace. Admire how hard you play & the innate toughness you display to help your team. Hope you weren't hurt badly on Sat.

Wishing you & your teammates continued success, good fortune & health.

Warm Regards
Coach Snyder
