RING OF HONOR | For me, this somewhat was lost because of the game, but from all accounts, Texas Tech did a stand-up job in honoring the inaugural class of Texas Tech's Ring of Honor, E.J. Holub, Dave Parks and Donny Anderson. There's just a bit of video that you can watch, although it is not enough. Makes me want to watch more. About the 1:00 minute mark, Holub makes a tackle behind the line of scrimmage and he bangs his hand on the ground that makes me think he should have done more. Goose bumps.

SOCCER | The soccer team fell to Ole Miss yesterday, 0-2. This breaks the streak of unbeaten Red Raider teams. It was bound to happen and the soccer team is still 5-1-0.

VOLLEYBALL | The volleyball team will host North Texas today at 2 pm and they are 7-0 on the year.

MEN'S BASKETBALL | LAJ's Nick Kosmider had an update on Saturday about head coach Billy Gillispie and his health condition. No comment on any other issues.

FOOTBALL | The LAJ has five encouraging developments and they are all on the offensive side of the ball. LAJ's Kosmider also writes about the overall depth on the offense. LAJ's Don Willliams editorializes and writes that it was a good weekend. DT's Nick DuPont, II summarizes Saturday's game. RP.com's Scott Fitzgerald looks back at his keys to the game.

For the Northwestern St. perspective, the Town Talk notes that the Demons received $410,000 for playing in Lubbock. Last year they received $755,000 for playing at LSU and will receive $325,000 for playing Nevada earlier in the year. I find it interesting the amount of money that a team has to pay.
