ODDS AND ENDS | In the photo above, that's former Red Raider Jason Young and I think the discus for the Olympics is scheduled for tomorrow and Tuesday, so make sure and think a good thought for him.

Today, the football team reports and there are usually a lot of cameras and video of players walking to a desk and actually checking in, but there are also times for interviews. Feel free to post any links in this post, but I'll also try to wrap everything up tomorrow morning

I enjoyed this again: Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee with Ricky Gervais and Jerry Seinfeld.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL | Head coach Kristy Curry picked up her fourth commitment for the 2013 class with Red Oak G Diamond Lockhart. LAJ's Nick Knosmider and DFW Elite Basketball have more on Lockhart's commitment. Diamond, Welcome to Texas Tech and Git Your Guns Up!

MEN'S BASKETBALL | LAJ's Nick Kosmider has a bit on the schedule and that Texas Tech is to host Arizona, Arizona St. and Alabama this year, but I think Chris Level had this news first.

FOOTBALL | Well, this made me a bit sad. The ABQJournal asks or wonders why former Red Raider RB Ronnie Daniels is staying away from the public eye with no one really hearing from Daniels. If you could think a good thought for Daniels today, that might be good.

LAJ's Don Williams looks at the defensive line and head coach Tommy Tuberville thinks the line will be 50% or 60% better and Tuberville thinks that Texas Tech is three deep now. I'm not sold on that, but we'll see.

The official site has information on you being able to buy individual game tickets on Monday morning and the kickoff luncheons begins on August 16th.

Miscellaneous: SB Nation is doing video previews of all of the top 25 teams . . . SB Nation's Bill Connelly looks at Kansas St. and I love the title, "We Meet Again, Mr. Wizard" . . . meet the two deep continues with looks at LB Blake Dees and IR Jakeem Grant are after the jump . . .
