ROLL CALL AND RULES OF THE ROAD | So yes, there was a reason why I posted the 2012 DTN Roll Call and the Rules of the Road almost back to back. Big 12 Sports' Wendell Barnhouse writes about the porous defense of 2011 and the hope that it is better in 2012 . . . someone had asked me what I like with uniforms and things like that and then I saw the logo on the letter jackets for all sports teams, via Happiness Osunde's Twitter, and if it were me, I'd go back to an old school logo because I think it is more prominent and I never understood the need to update an iconic logo and I'd love to had both red and black helmets . . .
MISCELLANEOUS | Matt Hinton returns to SB Nation and his comfortable home of Sunday Morning Quarterback (I am very happy to have Hinton back at SB Nation, who will also work at CBS Sports) . . . Pre-Snap Read's Paul Myerberg writes that the Texas Longhorns are the #6 team in the nation . . .
