ODDS AND ENDS | Woot! Totally Texas Tech has new campus pictures.
MEN'S BASKETBALL | I think I can confidently say that I, maybe, possibly, broke the story about PG Blake Nash transferring to Texas Tech. You can thank me for scrolling through Twitter after lunch and a "texas tech" search. In any event, LAJ's Nick Kosmider writes that Nash's father apparently lives in Plainview and is not in good health and was hoping to receive an NCAA waiver for a sick or ailing parent, although Kosmider is not sure if the NCAA has granted the waiver.
BASEBALL | Former Grayson C.C. and Oklahoma Sooner, Joe Hughes, had been named the Director of Baseball Operations at Texas Tech. Hughes is a former player for head coach Tim Tadlock at Grayson and at OU.
FOOTBALL | Congrats to WR Eric Ward for being named to the preseason Biletnikoff Award watch list and LT LaAdrian Waddle was added to the Lombardi Award watch list. Congrats!
Head coach Tommy Tuberville was on 97.3 The Zone in Alabama. I did not have time to listen to the entire interview, but they asked Tuberville about the SEC quite a bit and also asked him about Guy Bailey.
HoumaToday (I think this is a Louisiana paper) has a profile on QB Seth Doege at the Manning Passing Academy:
"We had a disappointing season last year," Doege said. "The guys do it into the gym during the summer, and that has motivated us. We've improved every day. It was probably one of the better summers I've been a part of since I've been at Tech."
Let's go.
