ODDS AND ENDS | Via SB Nation, Wes Welker makes an eagle.
TENNIS | Boo. The women's tennis team lost yesterday to Utah and is out for the NCAA tournament. Stinks to end the season out in the first round, but this program has come a long way. The men's tennis team starts play today against Cal Poly. LAJ's David Just has a profile on men's player Jeff Bryan.
GOLF | The women's golf team has moved up to sixth at the West Region of the NCAA Tournament (10th yesterday).
TRACK | The official site has an update after day 1 of the Big 12 Championships.
FOOTBALL | KAMC's @CassieGallo (via DMN)that head coach Tommy Tuberville's son Tucker Tuberville intends on walking on (as a preferred walk-on) next year. Tucker is currently at Frenship, led them to a 10-1 record last year, and wasn't expected to receive any significant offers from major programs. I don't really have a problem with this. This isn't a scholarship, a son wants to continue to be around his family and his dad. I think if I were in Tucker's spot, I'd probably want to spread my wings and go find my way, but if this is what he wants, then that's fine. I think would have a problem if Tucker received a scholarship, but that's not the case so I'll choose to take this as a situation where a son wants to be around his dad.
Former Nebraska RB Aaron Green (via his Twitter) chose TCU as his transfer destination. Texas Tech along with Baylor were some of his other options.
