Tech started out slow and let the Longhorns get 6 points on the board before scoring at the 17:40 mark in the 1st Half. The Lady Raiders tied the game at the 12:20 mark at 9 points all. Tech never looked back. The Lady Raiders went on a 26-12 run before the half to make the score 35-21. Then at the beginning of the 2nd Half Tech went on a 12 to 2 run and just kept plugging away. UT could not respond and fell to Tech 81-58.
The Lady Raiders played like they had at the beginning of the season. They had really good chemistry and played aggressively, cohesively and focused.
They have to play undefeated Baylor tomorrow night. As I have noted before, the Lady Raiders are the only team in the nation to come close to beating the Bears. The Lady Raiders are the only team in the nation to keep the final margin against Baylor under 10 points. They lost 72-64 in Lubbock and then the final outcome for the game in Waco was 56-51.
I am excited that the Lady Raiders seem to have got their mojo back and are a team to be reckoned with. I am hoping three is a charm tomorrow night and Tech shocks the nation and beats Baylor.
