I MAY NOT BE AROUND FOR THE GAME | I may be out for the game with a personal family situation. Right now I've got game day threads scheduled for 12:30 pm, 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm. There is still a chance that I'll be around, but there are some things that are up in the air. Nothing serious, but it's complicated.
CLARK TO BE TESTED | LAJ's Nick Kosmider (Anyone else notice how much Kosmider is writing for the LAJ? Would it be 75% of the football posts and all of the men's basketball?) writes about redshirt freshman RG LeRaven Clark and how he'll be tested this week. Here's head coach Tommy Tuberville on Clark:
"He has as much potential as any lineman I’ve ever seen," the Tech coach said. "If he stays healthy and keeps his attitude, he’s going to be something to watch over the next couple, three years.
DOEGE'S MATURATION | SAEN's Tim Griffin writes about how QB Seth Doege has shown some poise thus far this year and I thought the quotes from WVU head coach Dana Holgorsen were interesting:
"I thought he did a great job of managing the game," Holgorsen said. "He was throwing the ball into some guys who were covered that were just on the money. It was as accurate as I've ever seen him. It obviously wasn't any fun for me to watch, but looking back on him, he really played well and got his team playing well."
