I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Sure could use some rain, although I think that this goes for the entire state of Texas and especially for those folks West of the DFW area.  We start previews of Texas Tech opponents today, the hated Texas St. Bobcats.

Texas Tech Athletics Announces Football Season Ticket Price Adjustments - TEXAS TECH OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE
I'm glad to see that the prices have lowered, from $189 to $149 for sections 113 and 114.  And if you already bought tickets in these sections, Texas Tech is giving you the difference back or you can apply the money to additional seats.  LAJ's George Watson talked with AD Kirby Hocutt, who said this about the rolling back of ticket prices:

"The feedback and results we’ve received from our new ticket sales has been positive," Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt said. "But in looking back to 2010 with the addition of the new north end zone seats, a couple of the sections that were the most popular initially, the renewal rates are not where we want them to be.

"Understanding and recognizing some of the economic challenges going on today ... we believe it’s the right thing to do in rolling back the ticket prices to the 2010 level and hope it will encourage those fans who have not yet bought their season tickets or renewed their season tickets to do that."

I don't know if anyone cares, but Ubben revealed who he placed on his preseason All-Big 12 team and how he ranked the teams.  No Red Raiders made his ballot and he had Texas Tech behind Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Oklahoma St., Missouri, Baylor and Texas.  That's right, Ubben has Texas Tech behind Baylor . . . for the second year in a row.  I've come to appreciate Ubben and I do think that just about every fanbase thinks he's being biased against his team, which makes me think he's doing his job.  Anyway, I still don't think that Baylor has close to the talent that's at Texas Tech and I also don't think the coaching at Baylor is significantly better, but I'm biased too.  Ubben admits that 7th is way too low for Texas Tech and thinks Texas Tech could finish as high as 4th.

BCG is taking a look at a 15 year old point guard.  I don't really ever remember reading about these stories when PK was the coach, which of course really doesn't mean a thing, but it feels strange for Texas Tech to be mentioned in articles about AAU tournaments.

If someone were to do a study on the "miscellaneous" links that I post a large percentage of them would fall under the categories of space and photography.  This link hits both of those categories.
