1.  No. 22 Men's Tennis Earns Fifth-Straight NCAA Championship Berth - TEXAS TECH OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE | Congrats to the men's tennis team for making the NCAA Tournament!  The Red Raiders play the hated Rice Owls on Friday in Waco:

The No. 22 Texas Tech men's tennis team earned its fifth-straight berth into the NCAA Championship today, which was announced this afternoon on NCAA.com. Tech is the No. 2 seed in the Waco, Texas region and plays 43rd-ranked and No. 3 seed Rice on Fri., May 13, at the Baylor Tennis Center in first round action.

2.  Record-breaking run propels OHS's Marquez to state | marquez, propels, breaking - Track and field - Odessa American Online | Texas Tech commit RB Bradley Marquez didn't qualify in the 100m, running only a 10.68, but Marquez did qualify for state in the long jump by jumping 23' 11.25", which broke the Odessa High School record by 0.25". Congrats to Bradley!

3.  Floren, Smith Named To All-Big 12 Men's Golf Team - TEXAS TECH OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE | Congrats to Nils Floren and Matt Smith for being named for the All-Big 12 Men's Golf Team!  There were only 10 spots available, so good for Nils and Matt for making the team.

4.  Texas Tech Falls to Dallas Baptist in Final Home Midweek Game - TEXAS TECH OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE and Texas Tech falls to Dallas Baptist in baseball | Lubbock Online | Lubbock Avalanche-Journal | Sad face.  Here's what head coach Dan Spencer had to say after the game:

"There was a non-chalantness about things, a passivity that was uncharacteristic," Tech coach Dan Spencer said. "It was just a bad effort and I’m just sorry that people bought a ticket and had to watch it."

Yikes!
