Gotta go to work early, and am hoping a real estate deal I've been working closes today or at the very least I have all the paperwork completed. Good times. Everyone have a great Friday.

9. Aerial Photographs of Joplin Before and After the Tornado - Interactive Map - NYTimes.com
This makes me sick to see the devastation. I have friends that live in the middle of Missouri, my best man in my wedding in fact, and have driven through Joplin a handful of times and just can't imagine it being completely wiped out.

So much more after the jump, including a rebuttal from Mark Titus, South Park on the NCAA and possible new legislation on oversigning.
11. Club Trillion: My Rebuttal
Earlier this week I mentioned that Mark Titus, the 12th man on the end of Ohio St.'s men's basketball team started a blog a number of years ago and he opined on the situation regarding the Ohio St. football team. Titus has responded and his original post and his rebuttal are both well-written and encourage you to read them. The lesson here is that just because you criticize your university doesn't mean that you don't love them, it means that you have certain expectations. I know, I'm bringing up a sore subject, but I couldn't help myself.
12. Eric Cartman: "Stu-dent-ath-o-leets. Oh, that is brilliant sir." - The Dagger - NCAAB Blog - Yahoo! Sports and South Park Weighs In On The NCAA - From Our Editors - SBNation.com
The Dagger link is great because it has a transcript of the best part:
Cartman: "You have some mighty strong-looking workers here, sir. I'd be willing to offer $40 for two of the white ones and $50 for the blacks."
President: "Are you referring to our student athletes?"
Cartman: "Stu-dent-ath-o-leets. Oh, that is brilliant sir. Now when we sell their likeness for video games, how do we get around paying for our sla ... student athletes then?"
President: "Look there are good reasons our student-athletes aren't paid."
Cartman: "I ain't arguing. If they got paid, how would we make all our money?"

14. SEC proposals address oversigning | DogBytes Online (hat-tip Team Speed Kills) and New SEC Proposal on Oversigning and Roster Management " Oversigning.com
I find the problem of oversigning fascinating and if you are a fan of the Texas Tech basketball team, we're going to find ourselves in this very situation as there are too many new signees in compariso
n to the returning players. I don't know how it's all going to fit, but Gillispie has oversigned, there's no doubt about that.
15. Top newcomers in Big 12 basketball - College Basketball - Rivals.com
No Red Raiders are mentioned, but that may be because there's nine new players for Texas Tech (right now).
16. Big 12 NBA Draft History: With the 36th Overall Pick... - Big 12 Hoops
