1.  Texas Tech Selected to Second-Straight NCAA Regional - TEXAS TECH OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE and Tech softball headed back to NCAA tournament | Red Raiders
Congrats to the Lady Raiders for being selected for their second straight NCAA Tournament!  The Lady Raiders will travel to Tuscon, AZ, to take on Arizona, Harvard and New Mexico in this regional.   Again, this group struggled in conference, but they only won 15 games two years ago and have really turned things around quickly.  Here's head coach Shannon Hays:

"It’s always a relief to see your name up there," Hays said. "I’m really happy for these girls, two straight years, for what they’ve accomplished."

Congrats again!

2.  Lead Slips Away as Tech Falls 4-3 in Series Finale at Missouri - TEXAS TECH OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE and Tech bullpen blows 3-0 lead at Missouri | Red Raiders
It's never good for a bullpen to lose a 3-0 lead.  There's only one more conference series left, against Oklahoma St. starting on Friday.  I'm pretty clueless when it comes to whether or not a team has earned an NCAA Tournament spot and I'm guessing that Texas Tech is pretty close to that line.  Too close for comfort.

3.   Tech Wins Three Big 12 Titles on Final Day of Big 12 Champs - TEXAS TECH OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE and Wruck, hurdlers highlight Tech showing at Big 12 outdoor meet | Red Raiders
Congrats to Julian Wruck for winning the men's discus, Bryce Brown for winning the men's 400m and Omo Osaghae for winning the men's 110m hurdles!

8.  VIDEO: Chad Ochocinco Hurled Off Bull After 1.5 Seconds - From Our Editors - SBNation.com
Chad Ochocinco has tried soccer and bull-riding thus far in the off-season and in the process I bet he's learned that being an awesome athlete at one thing does not mean that he'll be an awesome athlete at another.  Still kinda neat to see him try different things.  Good for him.
