There will be a press conference re-cap later in the morning.  Most of these links are from yesterday, but a couple are from today.

Happy 8th Birthday AN and SB Nation! - Athletics Nation
This is pretty neat as SB Nation is 8 years old, meanwhile DTN is coming up on it's birthday, which is November 16th, and DTN will be 5 years old.  Scary how time flies.

Red Raiders defensive struggle reaching 2003 level of futility | Red Raiders

When Tommy Tuberville took over as Texas Tech coach last year, he intended to make the Red Raiders consistently strong on defense. That’s the side of the football he knows best.

So far, the promise has been hard to keep.

Instead of distancing themselves from their spotty defensive past, the Red Raiders are on pace to match the futility of the dreadful 2003 unit. That group allowed 453.4 yards and 34.0 points per game — virtually identical to the current average yields of 453.7 yards and 34.2 points.

Red Raiders football notebook: Time set for OSU | Red Raiders and Red Raiders football notebook: Porter, Robertson out | Red Raiders
The biggest news here is that CB Tre' Porter will be out another game, but RB Ben McRoy will be back returning kickoffs.  Also, LB Pete Robertson is out for the year and the staff will be seeking a medical redshirt for Robertson.

Williams: UT adds to misery of Tech 'D' | Red Raiders
Don is letting things go for two weeks in a row:

"Football is a team sport," he said. "One guy can’t win for you. ... It’s got to be 50, 60 guys, and we’ve got to get more than we have right now ready to play this level of football. And right now, we don’t have that."

Especially not on defense. Evidently, there’s a lot of that going around. More on that in a moment.

On Saturday, the Red Raiders couldn’t anchor at the point of attack, couldn’t fill gaps and didn’t hit with authority. Tuberville mentioned more than once he thought his defensive guys played hard and showed emotion. Perhaps. From up top, it looked as if they fell into here-we-go-again mode.
