Five Questions | Finishing Up the Season

I've still yet to write anything meaningful about the game.  You can chalk that up to laziness or being busy as I had to make a couple of runs to put Christmas stuff into storage for a year, which is always fun.

Knowing that there's not another game that I have to write about for a good while is both a good and bad feeling.  By the end of the season, I'm usually pretty tired and to say that 2010 was an eventful year would be an understatement.  I have tracked the plays and once I get that spreadsheet completed, I think there will be some interesting numbers there to discuss.

Let's get to the five questions.

1.  ARE YOU CONCERNED ABOUT REPLACING ROBINSON AND DO YOU WELCOME HIS DEPARTURE? | Yesterday's news was that defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson has been hired as part of Will Muschamp's staff at Florida.  You guys and gals have been discussing it here.  On one hand, you've got the thought that how could Florida hire a position coach that had the 118th ranked pass defense and on the other hand, it leads to the thought that maybe Robinson didn't have a whole lot of talent to work with as far as defensive backs are concerned.  I must admit that I thought the Texas Tech defensive backs were playing the correct technique for a good part of the year.   Are you at all concerned about replacing Robinson and do you welcome his departure?

2.  NOW THAT WILLIS HAS LEFT THE PROGRAM, WHAT WOULD YOU PREFER TO DO AS FAR AS THE TYPE OF DEFENSE MOVING INTO NEXT YEAR? | We also know that defensive coordinator James Willis has left the program and I mentioned last week that I'd love to see Tuberville just scrap the 3-4 experiment and go back to his 4-3 roots.  Do you have any thoughts about where you'd like the defense go and do you think that a big reason why Ruffin McNeil didn't run an aggressive defense was because he just didn't have the athletes to do so?

3.  ARE YOU IN FAVOR OF INTRODUCING A NEW WRINKLE TO THE OFFENSE OR ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH WHERE THE OFFENSE IS? | After the game, head coach Tommy Tuberville mentioned that he might look at making the rushing offense a little bit more downhill and also mentioned that he might want to run a little bit of the Pistol Offense (excellent tutorial here).  There was discussion yesterday about who made the decision to run the Pistol or who thought of the idea.  Personally, I don't know that it matters and I think the neat thing about the Pistol is that it takes a majority of the same concepts of the spread offense except it allows for more than the 1 running play that most spread offenses have which is a draw play.  It will allow a running back to gain a little more momentum heading into the line of scrimmage and with OC Brown implementing both man and zone blocking schemes, I really like this move.  Now that I've rattled on a bit, what do you think about possibly utilizing the Pistol Offense or adding some other wrinkles to the offense.

4.  HEADING INTO THE OFFSEASON, WHAT AREA OF THE OFFENSE ARE YOU MOST CONCERNED ABOUT AND LEAST CONCERNED ABOUT? | Heading into the offseason, what area of the offense are you most concerned about and least concerned about? This can be the graduation of a player or a particular problem on that side of the ball.

5.  WHAT AREA OF THE DEFENSE ARE YOU MOST CONCERNED ABOUT AND LEAST CONCERNED ABOUT? | Same question about the defense, what are you most concerned about and least concerned about?

The five questions are after the jump.

1.  ARE YOU CONCERNED ABOUT REPLACING ROBINSON AND DO YOU WELCOME HIS DEPARTURE?

2.  NOW THAT WILLIS HAS LEFT THE PROGRAM, WHAT WOULD YOU PREFER TO DO AS FAR AS THE TYPE OF DEFENSE MOVING INTO NEXT YEAR?

3.  ARE YOU IN FAVOR OF INTRODUCING A NEW WRINKLE TO THE OFFENSE OR ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH WHERE THE OFFENSE IS?

4.  HEADING INTO THE OFFSEASON, WHAT AREA OF THE OFFENSE ARE YOU MOST CONCERNED ABOUT AND LEAST CONCERNED ABOUT?

5.  WHAT AREA OF THE DEFENSE ARE YOU MOST CONCERNED ABOUT AND LEAST CONCERNED ABOUT?
