It seems as if the staff is intent on keeping me busy. Texas Tech secured it's 24th commitment from OT Matt Wilson, who was formerly committed to Houston. I actually like the fact that Wilson gives Texas Tech two tackle-types in Wilson and LaRaven Clark and two guard-types in Tony Morales and Alfredo Morales. I feel a lot more comfortable about the offensive line situation with Wilson committing.

So much more after the jump.

Wilson had been a UH pledge since July. He said his relationship with Tech coach Tommy Tuberville and assistants Matt Moore and Neal Brown were factors in changing his mind.
"They seem like pretty down-to-earth people," he said. "And the overall feel of the campus and the town, it was just a good fit for me."
Wilson is a little light by Big 12 Conference tackle standards. He was measured at 6-foot-7 this weekend, but said he weighed 260 pounds.
"I feel like I’m pretty athletic for a lineman," he said. "I played basketball pretty much my whole life. I feel I have good quick feet. I feel like I’m good in space. I guess my main concern is just putting on the weight, getting to where I can compete against Big 12 talent, but that’s what a redshirt year is for."
And Wilson's head coach had this to say about Wilson:
"He’s got real good reach," Trojans coach Bryan Barbay said. "He’s got long arms, a wingspan on him that’s probably about as wide as he is tall. We weren’t a big pass-blocking team, but that’s really what he can do. He’s got that wingspan, and he’s got good feet."
Video: No free video available. I also tried looking for video between Colspring-Oakhurst vs. Carthage thinking that there would be some highlights of Wilson there, but came up empty. If anyone can help, that would be appreciated.
Scouting Report: Williams article notes that Wilson started this year for Coldspring-Oakhurst and was previously at a private school, which may have kept Wilson off the recruiting radar. Also, you'll note that I've plugged in Wilson's fake 40-yard dash time at 5.0, which is what Dave Campbell's had Wilson at with as a Houston commit.
And Wilson apparently started to receive more attention when Coldspring-Oakhurst made their run in the playoffs. 24/7's Gerry Hamilton wrote that Wilson's stock started to rise during the playoffs and received an offer from Mississippi St. Hamilton wrote there that Wilson still had a visit scheduled with Mississippi St. later this month and it will be interesting to see if he still goes on that visit.
Matt, welcome to Texas Tech and Git Your Guns Up!
The 2011 Class: I've been notified that some grades have changed recently (I did change Wesley's Rivals grade) and I'll try to get that fixed over the weekend, but right now I don't have enough time.
