Leach vs. Texas Tech: LAJ's Matthew McGowan reported that Judge Bill Sowder has dismissed former Regents Larry Anders and Jerry Turner from former head coach Mike Leach's lawsuit against Texas Tech. As an aside, Chancellor Kent Hance, Athletic Director Gerald Myers and President Guy Bailey were dismissed as defendants last week as well. McGowan also has a blog-post summarizing the lawsuit.
Tubs and Pac-10: KCBD talked with head coach Tommy Tuberville at the Tyler alumni meeting about Texas Tech possibly moving to the Pac-10:
"I'm not privy to all that stuff. I'm a football coach. I don't get to make any of those decisions." Tuberville made his comments to KCBD NewsChannel 11's sister station in Tyler Texas, KLTV.
"But if it happened and we went to the PAC 10, that would be great," Tuberville continues. "I think it would be an opportunity for TV and more money for all the athletic programs, and for players to travel to different places."
Williams Looks to be More of a Pass-Rusher: DMN's Todd Archer profiles former Red Raider Brandon Williams and his push to become more of a pass-rusher this year for the Dallas Cowboys.
