As a true sophomore, Detron Lewis was the second most productive receiver for Texas Tech, hauling in 76 catches for 913 yards, but only 3 touchdowns. Lewis also received playing time as a freshman, catching 10 passes for 120 yards and 3 touchdowns.
What I Think:
It's not difficult to determine that the area that Lewis needs to improve is catching touchdowns. We all realize that there was another receiver (Michael Crabtree) or two (Eric Morris) that had 28 touchdowns. Personally, I think that Lewis is more than capable of playing the role of lead receiver, but he's got to prove that he can get in the endzone.
