The long and short of why is to make sure you never leave SB Nation and we want to bring as much as humanly and technilogically available to make sure you have everything at your fingertips.
Every team now has a page.
This is outstanding because now you have one place to see what everyone around the network is writing about your Red Raiders. Without further delay, the Texas Tech Red Raiders football page (or click "Red Raiders" in the navigation bar next to the logo and underneath the top advertising) and the Texas Tech Red Raiders basketball page. Of course this also applies to every college team and your favorite professional teams (see the Rangers or the Mavericks as examples).
Every player now has a page.
There were player pages before, but now they're a little more beefed up. If you want to know what's happening with Graham Harrell, Michael Crabtree or Brandon Williams as they move onto the pros, then these guys are only a couple of clicks away.
I've always disliked how I had to link to other websites for boxscores. Not any more. Just as an example, check out the Texas Tech 2008 football schedule, the coverage to a random game and since Texas Tech doesn't have any full boxscores here are some examples (football, basketball and baseball).
During the season, DTN, as well as all other SB Nation websites will have access to the AP images during and after the games. I love photos, so having this type of access is tremendous and spruces up the place a bit. This won't happen games actually start, but they'll be available to us during the season.
Cleaner Statistics Pages.
Have fun with the new toys and remember, if you ever have any technical problems feel free to email the technical support (email@example.com) and I can promise you that they'll try to get back to you as soon as possible. These guys and gals are pretty amazing.
If you have any general questions, leave a comment and I'll get back to you.
