Another game on the road, another loss. The Red Raiders dropped their single game with Texas State last night, losing 4-10 (recap). The main culprit was the 4 errors commited by the Texas Tech defense, which allowed 6 unearned runs. The pitching numbers don't look half bad, as starter freshman Colton Farrar (3.0 IP; 6 H; 5 R; 2 ER; 1 BB; 1 SO) had a decent outing, and the bullpen only allowed 2 earned runs behind Jordan Stern (2.0 IP; 3 H; 3 R; 1 ER; 2 BB; 0 SO), Ben Flora (2.0 IP; 2 H; 2 R; 1 ER; 1 BB; 1 SO) and Louis Head (1.0 IP; 1 H; 0 R; 0 ER; 0 BB; 1 SO). The offense managed only 9 hits, but Taylor Ashby (3-4; 1 RBI) and Justin Berry (1-4; 2 RBI) continue to hit the ball well.

LAJ's George Watson previews the weekend series with the Longhorns, which starts tomorrow.
