Texas Tech 2, Corpus Christi 6
Where have we seen this happen? Great at home and awful on the road. Pretty amazing that the Red Raiders could drop two in a row to a team that had lost 15 games already, of course Texas Tech has already lost 12 now (recap). The pitching was okay, and the recap states that TAMU-CC's grandslam in the 5th inning was controversial in that it appeared foul, but the home plate umpire called it fair. Brandon Foster (2.1 IP; 4 H; 2 ER; 2 BB; 2 SO) started the game, but it was Louis Head (2.0 IP; 1 H; 3 ER; 2 BB; 0 SO) earned the loss. Remember, both of these guys are freshmen. But it was the offense that failed to give the pitching staff much to work with, managing only 2 hits for the day. Chris Richburg (1-3; 1 HR; 1 RBI) and Justin Berry (1-4; 1 HR; 1 RBI) both hit homeruns and provided the only two runs and the only two hits.
