Double-T Nation News:
There's not much news out there this Saturday morning. That changes in a week as the Red Raiders will be taking on Eastern Washington in just 7 short days.
Texas Tech Football:
LAJ's Don Williams focuses again on who will step in for L.A. Reed at the cornerback position. Right now, it's between LaRon Moore and Brent Nickerson, per Ruffin McNeill:
"Both of them are smart," McNeill said. "Both of them know the defense. LaRon can tackle well. Brent’s tackling a lot better this fall. I feel good about both of those guys."
And cornerbacks' coach Brian Mitchell:
"Brent Nickerson’s a very smart and heady player, a good technician. He knows the scheme inside and out," Mitchell said. "He’s a very good football player. LaRon Moore’s coming into his own. He’s a very bright kid, very intelligent kid, very athletic. He was a sprinter out of high school. He’s got some (physical) attributes that would make him a very good cornerback, as well as the mental aspect."

Fox34 has some video on defensive end / defensive tackle Brandon Sesay, his willingness to learn both positions and that time in the film room may be more important right now. For those of you in the Lubbock area, Tech Talk will run a special preseason show at 10:00 p.m. on Fox34.

ESPN's Big 12 Blogger ranks the Big 12 quarterbacks, with Graham Harrell checking in at #3:
3. Graham Harrell, Texas Tech: Could be in line for a 6,000-yard passing season if he can remain healthy and his team isn't so good that he has to leave games early.
Seems like Robinson and McGee are too high, but they aren't bad at what they do. If anything it proves the overall depth of the Big 12 for quarterbacks is unlike any other conference. If it's me, my top 5 is as follows: Daniel, Harrell, Bradford, McCoy, Reesing.
