Last week we started DTN's Community Projections and of the 111 folks who voted, 33% of you guys thought that Detron Lewis would have a 90 catch season with about 6 touchdowns. That's a pretty significant improvement, but I believe, just like you, that Lewis is going to be a pretty special player, and I think I went with the 80 catch season.
Up Next: Brian Duncan: Sophomore, Linebacker, (6-1, 239).
The Facts: As a redshirt freshman, Duncan played in 12 games last year, finished with 62 tackles (44 solo and 18 assists), 4.0 tackles for a loss, 1 pass break-up and 1 QB hurry. That's not bad for a redshirt freshman, who I didn't really even see being on the radar. College football prognosticator, Phil Steele, felt that Duncan deserved 3rd Team Preseason All-Big 12
What I Think: As good a season as Duncan had as a redshirt freshman, I'm not sure he'll be able to greatly surpass last year's production. Not because I think he lacks talent, but rather I think that Sam Fehoko is going to steal some playing time away from Duncan, especially early as McNeill tries to get some of the younger guys adjusted to Big 12 football.
