LAJ's George Watson previews the New Mexico State series, and please note that today's game is going to be at Dan Law Field, while Wednesday's game is going to be at New Mexico State. Watson has much more on the Ramos injury and here's how Watson believes the weekend starters will shake out:
With Ramos out, junior right-hander Zach Stewart (2-1, 3.90 ERA) will likely move into the Friday starter spot, with freshman Chad Bettis and sophomore Nate Karns in the Saturday and Sunday slots, respectively. That decision has not been officially made, but Stewart was set to move into the rotation against Kansas State on Sunday had he not been used in relief on Saturday.
