LAJ's George Watson previews the series with UNLV in Las Vegas. It appears that the Runnin' Rebels are starting pitchers who aren't exactly lighting it up. It would be nice for the Texas Tech bats to knock the ball around a bit. Watson also notes that UNLV's staff ERA is 6.60. Again, a perfect remedy for the offense.
Last time out, Lorenzo Douglas was pretty impressive, going 5.0 innings, giving up 3 hits, 2 walks and 2 strikeouts, while James Leverton cleaned up in relief.
