Texas Tech Thursday Morning Notes - No Basketball Edition

Double-T Nation News:

No time for "DTN's Top ___". I put away the computer last night after the horrible loss (see post below).

Texas Tech Football:

Hat-tip to Zebbie L. over at FORL, Brian Duncan was named as a finalist for the Amateur Athletic Union's Sullivan Award. That's one long list of charity and community involvement.

Texas Tech Baseball:

Sigh. I was kinda hoping that the baseball team would buoy my spirits, but that just wasn't the case as the Red Raiders lost to the New Mexico Lobos, 7-3 (boxscore). I don't have a lot of time to delve into the boxscore, but but the Red Raiders did get 3.2 innings of no-hit relief from James Leverton, Sam Janca and Zach Stewart. Jason Seefeld had the best day of the group, going 2-4 with 2 RBI.

Next, the Red Raiders travel to Houston for the 2008 Minute Maid College Classic. Here's your lineup:

  • Texas Tech v. Houston Friday, February 29, 2008 @ 3:30 p.m. AJ Ramos (TT) (0-1) v. Wes Musick (UH) (1-0).
  • Texas Tech v.Tennessee Saturday, March 1, 2008 @ 3:30 p.m. Nate Karns (TT) (0-0) v. Nick Hernandez (TN) (0-0).
  • Texas Tech v. Houston Sunday, March 2, 2008 @ 2:30 p.m. Chad Bettis (TT) (1-0) v. Matt Langwell (RICE) (1-0).
