Double-T Nation News:
I've been meaning to mention this earlier, but good friend and Red Raider Steven Leija has some awesome photos from the Baylor game at his website, SidelinePros. Too many good ones to mention all of them, but there's a very cool picture of Crabtree gliding through the air, a very proud Emo, a beaming Sally Kipyego, a prayerful Ruffin McNeill, the moment right before Crabtree got hurt, Dixon sacking Griffin, etc. Lots of great moments, go check it out.

How many sets of knee-pads does Gary Danielson go through during a Florida game? Just curious.

This is not going to become high school-central, but I was following up on Texas Tech commit Jacob Karam and noticed in this story that after last night's win over Beaumont Central, Karam and his Friendswood teammates will be facing UT commit, Lake Travis' Garrett Gilbert. The game's in College Station at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. If anyone goes and wants to give a scouting report, that would be awesome.
Mike Leach Watch:
I don't think I missed this yesterday, but according to ESPN, Mike Leach is to sign his contract within the next 48 hours. This story was posted yesterday evening at 6:27 p.m. ET, which means Leach should sign his contract sometime Monday. That's assuming the story is accurate.

I was hoping that the LAJ would have some sort of update regarding the situation, but that hasn't happened yet and it's pretty close to 7:00 a.m. as I'm posting this. I will update here if anything newsworthy happens.

FWST's Trae Thompson takes a look at the 2008 Heisman Trophy candidates and weighs in on who he thinks will win. Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree are both on his short list of 5.
