I came across this incredibly awesome note on UniWatch and could not believe the treasure trove of information available at the Lubbock Pictorial, the Winston Reeves Photograph Collection. So my little gift to you in this holiday season are these old photographs of the Texas Tech football team.

Texas Tech v. Minnesota
I have looked at the official Texas Tech Media Guide and I cannot locate any reference to Texas Tech playing Minnesota before, despite the fact that there are these photos. It's hard to tell, but I think that Tech is in the darker uniform.
If anyone has any explanation or has some free time this holiday, let me know what you find out.
I would give just about anything to have any one of those photographs as my logo up top, but I seriously doubt that this would/could ever happen.
