RECOUNT NOT REMATCH! I'm starting this here. Fans do NOT want a rematch of LSU and Alabama. OCCUPY THE INTERNET and demand a recount! For years the BCS has kept teams out of the big games like Boise and others that play "little sisters of the poor". Well, now we have an Alabama team in the game with a schedule that is clearly inferior to Ok State. What gives?
The Big 12's middle tier has shifted. So, Texas Tech went 18 years without a losing season and played in 11 consecutive bowls. Baylor went 16 years without playing in a bowl game. Now, Texas Tech will be sitting at home for the holidays and Baylor is going to it second consecutive bowl game and has a chance to win 10 games.

Twitter / @BrandonKLBK: Tech WR Shawn Corker conve ... I'm sure that this will work out just fine. UPDATE: From the LAJ: "You put all your hard work and effort into it," Corker said Monday. "To see something that you love and have a passion for go away, you start growing and developing in different areas. Now I have dreams to be a starting corner in the NFL and hopefully start for this team." Snip. "Moving to corner, it was kind of coach Tubs' (Tommy Tuberville) idea," Corker said. "I was practicing at punt return, and they saw my ability to jam receivers off the line. I really did a good job at that, so coach Tubs was like, 'Let’s try him at corner. See how he does.' I really started to get the hang of it, picking up plays very fast, and here I am today."West Virginia has accepted an offer to join the Big 12 Conference, college football industry sources told CBSSports.com Friday. The Mountaineers informed the Big East Friday morning that they were leaving the league. The Big 12 is expected to officially announce the invitation later today. The Big 12's board of directors voted Friday morning and chose West Virginia over Louisville. The Big 12 will stay at 10 schools, a source said.
WVU to Big 12; what's next for Big East - CBSSports.comHow close was the Big 12 to announcing West Virginia as its newest member? As of Tuesday, Big 12 officials, including interim commissioner Chuck Neinas and deputy commissioner Tim Weiser, planned to be in Morgantown, W.Va. today to announce West Virginia was headed to the Big 12. The Big 12 had told West Virginia officials the Mountaineers were the choice to replace Missouri and the Big 12 even had a press release prepared. But before the Big 12 could make it official, the league’s board of directors wanted to perform due diligence and decided to hold off on officially inviting West Virginia. The reason was simple: the Big 12 had always been deciding between West Virginia, Louisville or BYU as a replacement for Missouri, when it leaves for the SEC. Now the league is split between West Virginia and Louisville, multiple sources have said.
How close did Big 12 come to adding WVU? - CBSSports.comDon't get me wrong, the Michigan State-Wisconsin game was amazing. I stayed up until 3 a.m. watching the replay after I covered Game 3 of the World Series. But unranked Texas Tech's 41-38 victory against then-top-ranked Oklahoma at Norman -- breaking the Sooners' 39-game home win streak -- was better. And much, much more meaningful.
Gene W's BMOC The love continues. Nice to be back on the radar.
