Nine track and field athletes are set to compete in the NCAA Championships. Kingsbury and Smith in Tyler. Five of Texas Tech's kickoffs are announced. Texas Tech football on Reddit. Hensley hired at Westlake.

2. NCAA National championship | Texas Tech is set to send nine athletes to Eugene, Oregon to compete in the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The LAJ has an article on shot-putter Kole Weldon, who started out as a quarterback at Jacksboro, then Midwestern St., then as a walk-on with the T&F program and is now the second best in the country.

3. Kingsbury & Smith in Tyler | KLTV had a bit from head coaches and Kliff Kingsbury and Tubby Smith heading to Tyler on Monday for a longstanding golf tournament in Tyler, at Willow Brook. The article accompanying the story says that Kingsbury was an Aggie last year.

4. Schedules Released | The Big 12 officially released early season and special game television and times for football games. Texas Tech also has an official release. Here's the summary:

9/7: SFA @ TTU on FSN at 6:00 pm
9/12: TCU @ TTU on ESPN at 6:30 pm
9/21: Texas St. @ TTU on FSN at 6:00 pm
11/28: TTU @ UT on FS1 at 6:30 pm

So you'll be able to watch every non-conference game on a national network, meanwhile in Austin . . . FS1 is the new Fox Sports station and that is set to be unveiled during the fall, obviously before this game. Speaking of schedules, Frogs O' War has a look at all of the Big 12 schedules. 5. Tremendous Pressure from Iowa St.: Black Heart Gold Pants has a really good look about how Iowa was facing "tremendous pressure" over Iowa St., which may have had a hand in realignment. 8. Hensle Hired at Westlake | Congrats to former Red Raider and recent assistant coach Katie Hensle who has been hired at Westlake.

9. Moore in Alpine and Castaneda with K-State | Scout has an article on Alpine QB Evan Moore who plans on camping at Texas Tech. You can watch Moore's Hudl video. SB Nation on K-State commit OL Robert Castaneda who is keeping his options open.
