Tech fans from sites like this tend to be great at voting contest. For some time it has bothered me that Tech is way behind a lot of schools on endowing their athletic scholarships and coaching positions. I think it would be fun if Tech would setup an online contribution contest that proposed naming endowments after some of Tech's favorite players and coaches. (I guess you could have something like a VTM endowment in the mix if people were in support of it). People would vote with contributions and when a player/coach reached a certain level an endowment would be created for them. Ideally the site would show each player/coach's contribution progress toward an endowment in real time (maybe with bar charts next to each other). I've seen charitable and political donation sites similiar to this so I think it would work. I have been thinking about this since the announcements about all of the online donations Tech got with the announcement of KK's hiring. Not sure who at Tech might be able to make this happen.
