Not going to say that he is going to be better than Graham, but watch this junior highlight tape, yes it is 9 minutes, but it has sent chills down my spine. Granted Lake Travis has an excellent football program, but one of the reasons is Michael Brewer. I haven't seen a kid so calm, cool, and collected with the football in his hands. He has skills that many quarterbacks don't develop after 4 years in college. Lake Travis ran an Air Raid offense under Chad Morris (now the highest paid OC in the nation at Clemson) and Brewer constantly had 4-5 receivers running routes. He goes through his progression like a professional and always finds the open man. When a receiver isn't open, he has an uncanny ability to see blocks developing downfield from his receivers and is just quick enough to get the first down and even break a big gainer.
I decided to post this highlight tape because I feel with all of the recruiting that just went down, and our class maybe not ending up as highly ranked as most of us would hope, that we all needed to take solace in the fact that this kid is simply awesome, and given Kliff and Sonny's coaching, he will truly be a force to be reckoned with. Now I'll also remind you this is his JUNIOR highlight reel. He has had a 4a State Championship season and 2 seasons at Tech to get better. Clappin Mack and Big Game Bob better be shaking in their boots, the future is now folks, just wait till this fall, we will be explosive! You might also wonder why Brewer didn't start this season? Well I do too, but no use crying over spilled milk, we have 3 years with him and as good as he will be next year, I can't fathom what this team will look like when he is a senior! WRECK EM TECH!
Crack a cold one, sit in the recliner, and enjoy!
