Big 12 Soccer Tournament Results for 11-6-13

Advancing to the semifinals are the following: Baylor who beat ISU 1-0, OSU beating UT 2-1, WVU beating KU 3-0 and your Texas Tech Red Raiders beating TCU 1-0. See the results here. Tournament play continues on November 8 starting at 530 pm with Baylor facing off against WVU. Following at 8 pm your Red Raiders will face off against OSU. TTU played OSU to a 0-0 draw in 2 OT in regular season play.

Tonight's game was controlled by the Red Raiders. The only score in the game came from Jr. Paige Strahan in the 31st minute of play. Possession was the key to this game as TTU held the advantage on shots at 19-4 with about 10 minutes to play in the game. The defenders easily worked the ball around TCU pushing the ball up to the forwards and striker during the majority of the 2nd half. TTU took several shots on goal in the last six minutes of play but could not get the insurance goal to fall into place.

I watched the game on the digital network and the Big 12 Digital Network did a great job in producing the soccer game. If you get a chance be sure and watch Friday night. I know I will be at our key district football game but will be following the game via twitter.

A great job by the Red Raiders and Wreck OSU.
