What the hell is happening here. We lose a supposed good game, and all is well. We get our guts ripped out of use and all is good. We have come a long way guys, the future is bright. Bull shit, I mean its ok we have a future now. We might have a future better than the supposed future of Tubbs, but ask yourself who is really responsible for our defense. I don't think we get this far into the schedule going 7 and 1 without a defense. So ask yourself, is it the result of a first year coach who is an offensive guy, or the results of three years of recruiting by a defensive coach. Nobody liked Tubbs but he did focus on the defense and the results are showing up. Now we have a defense and an offense that gains yards but is unable to push it in when it counts. I am happy kliff is our coach, but outside of energy and play calling he has not contributed much yet. It will take years before we see what he is truly made of and if he can recruit and coach with the best, and don't get me wrong, I think he can, but I will never be satisfied with a lose when Oklahoma is having a down year, and we have a defense and an offense with insanely talented receiver's. We should have rolled Oklahoma and I'm not so sure we would not have if we had given the reigns to a mature quarterback in prior weeks, our put a mobile guy in the pocket to offset the thin offensive line. We will be losing much of the defense next year and most of the offensive weapons. I for one am tired of future hopes. People discounted this team early due to the lack of defense, yet now we are looking at an offense that produces yards with little results while relying on a defense built by a guy we hated with every inch of our being. Having said all that I feel good about the future but I will never say the loss to Oklahoma was palatable because we never gave up, and the future looks good. We have the talent to beat Oklahoma's, due to previous coaches that produced results and followed it up with descent recruiting. Every team has holes, coaching covers them up. I love where we are and love the King, but we have come to far from the mediocre teams of the past to feel good about losing. We should be able to impose our will the same as Oklahoma did even if we lose. I didn't see that Saturday, hopefully that changes this Saturday. Say what you will, but in the end we lost, but ya I know, not like we did in 08, but wasn't that team coached by our beloved Leach? When does it end?
