Dear Fellow Red Raiders & DTNers:

Who thought we would have the No. 1 ranked defense and No. 2 ranked offense nationally this week?! I knew something felt different this year, but I sure didn't expect this! SO proud of our guys!!

Funny to say, "we" and "our" like we'll be out their on the field with the team. But we kind of will be, at least in spirit. We need each other. We feed off each other. They need our energy and we need theirs. The energy, excitement and enthusiasm has been there on both sides this year - in spades. And, dang, it feels goooood!

We all know the Iowa State game is being viewed as a defining game for us for this season. Since the game is in Ames, I'm guessing a lot of Red Raiders won't be able to make the trip. Soooo, I thought we should take the opportunity to inspire our players through this fan post. Let's post as many comments as we can to show our support for & pride in our team and anything else positive (such as pictures, favorite quotes - inspirational or fun - "you're so Doege", etc.). Any smack talk we've heard out of Iowa State & mention of corn would be okay as well... I'll make sure to get the comments to the team before they leave for Ames on Friday.

Let's show our support for and confidence in our team that they will leave Ames the same way they arrived - with the No. 1 ranked defense and No. 2 ranked offense nationally! And of course, another win under their belt!
