Bradley Marquez starts spring training with New York Mets

How is Marquez able to attend minor league baseball spring training and not Red Raider football spring training? And what about all the wear and tear on this 19 year old kid playing college football and pro baseball... all year long? I know this isn't the first time college football players have played minor league baseball... I'd just rather have this talented kid focused on the Red Raiders this fall.
