Hat-tip to RRS.com's Chris Level:

CB Maurice Chandler (Lawton, OK) has committed to Texas Tech today and is Texas Tech's 9th 10th commitment of the year. Chandler (6-0/180) is one of the top players in the state of Oklahoma (anywhere between 4 and 10), is generally considered a 2-star or 3-star player (Rivals | Scout | ESPN | 247). Just a few days ago there was a story on NewsOK about Chandler, his speed and his ability to snag the interception:

"You watch him run and it looks like he’s just going at 3/4 speed," Breeze said. "Then you look down and he’s running a 4.4. He glides so well. He doesn’t really look like he’s running fast even though he is."

Snip.

"On a couple of them, the receiver was open. The quarterback saw a wide open receiver," Breeze said. "But Maurice has that uncanny ability to have a late second burst. His quickness is really something special, especially for a kid his size."

The article also mentions that Chandler is a bit of a grade-risk and has work to do in the classroom. Here's Chandler's highlight video from his junior year:
