ODDS AND ENDS | Two good draft related articles from SI.com. The first article is from Andy Staples who looks how the players projected to be drafted in the first round were rated by Rivals and let's just say that for the most part, Rivals does a pretty darned good job. The second article is from Richard Deitsch who looks at your two options to watch the draft, the NFL Network and ESPN.
If the title of this article doesn't make you want to read it, then I don't know what will, "21 Questions with the First Family of Wild Turkey Bourbon."
RED RAIDER BASKETBALL | There was a little bit of chatter the past few weeks about the possibility of Howard JC Shavon Coleman ended up signing with LSU, he was from Louisiana. Coleman was down to Texas Tech, Oklahoma and LSU. I think Texas Tech is holding out one additional spot to PG Josh Gray.
TEXAS TECH BASEBALL | Texas Tech will play a two game midweek series against New Mexico in Albuquerque (official site). LAJ's George Watson writes that the team is searching for consistency.
TEXAS TECH FOOTBALL | The Big 12 held a coaches teleconference yesterday and DMN's Chuck Carlton has a nondescript quote from head coach Tommy Tuberville about hoping the type of person he hopes the new Big 12 Commissioner will be and FWST's Stefan Stevenson writes about how Tuberville would like for the Big 12 to add two teams to get back to 12 and be able to hold a conference championship in football.
New Mexico QB Dustin Walton is transferring from New Mexico and one of the possible landing spots is Texas Tech. I don't know that I recall much, if anything about Walton, but he was a 3-star prospect coming out of Raton, New Mexico.
