Adding to the great week Tech football has had, Taylor Potts won the MVP of the NFLPA Texas vs the Nation all-star game. He led Texas to a 13-7 victory, going 9-15 for 107 yds and 1 TD. He led the team to two early scoring drives, and demonstrated his leadership qualities as well as the ability to play in a pro-style offense. I was very pleased with his performance overall, and think he has come quite a way after the 2009 season. Just think, in 2010 many Tech fans were ready to run Potts and Tuberville out of town. It's amazing what happens when we give people a little time and space to develop to their potential.
I haven't seen any final stats on Duncan's performance, but from my first watch it appeared that the action was predominantly going away from him. He did miss a chance to make the tackle that would have saved the lone touchdown the Nation scored, but didn't have the speed or pursuit angle to take him down. He also missed a tackle on another long play later in the game just before getting blown up by a great downfield block.
Did anyone else get a chance to watch the game and have any other thoughts on our performances?
