Can't wait for basketball, I've been having to gruel through this football season. But tonight we finally suit up for our first exhibition game, and we get to see these guys in real action. I have watched or listened to just about 90% of our Tech basketball games for the last 10 years, and I can tell you I'm almost as excited about this season as when Bobby first came to our school. BCG is getting our guys tough and conditioned for a hardcore slate of games, and I have so much hope for us to do good this season. Heck, I heard he sent the guys home the other week for not practicing hard enough. They had 6am practices the rest of the week. A REAL COACH!

Being realistic though, I sat down and looked at our schedule. I am a college basketball nutcase, and watch about every basketball game that is on TV. While at the final four and national championship games last year in Houston I caught myself a few times wondering what it would be like to have Texas Tech that far in the tournament and how great our fans would be cheering on our beloved Red Raiders. But like I said, back to reality. Looking at the schedule and what I know about our competition here is my prediction for the season:

15 -14 is by no case a great season. But, I just want to see the guys gain chemistry together and grow. I want to see development of the team, and keep on see us get better and better. Now, my dream for us would to be 22 - 7 before the Big 12 tournament begins, but until I see what we are really working with I can't say we will get a 20 win season under our belt this year. I'll comment on ever game this season and let you know what I see going on with the team, but I would like to see a few more than just the regular 4 of us on DTN that comment on the game. I know that with the success we have on the court that translates to the amount of comments I see on this blog. Come on everybody, let's get pumped for basketball! Wreck 'em Tech!
