A new book is out about the firing of Mike Leach, written by a stranger to the Tech community, Michael Lee Lanning, an aTm grad and ret'd Lt. Colonel in the Army. Lanning has published several books on military history but this is his first venture into the sports world. The title: Double. T - Double Cross "It was kind of a ‘get even’ type thing," Lanning said. "Unfortunately, the overall conflict was people who should have been looking out for the interest of Texas Tech, the interest of the students, the interest of the graduates and the football team, put that aside for some of their personal dislikes for Mike Leach. The grounds he were fired upon were non-existent, did not occur." His research included interviews with former players including Michael Crabtree and Danny Amendola.
