Yeah, last week was as bad as two weeks ago was grand. But for perspective, and nothing more, take a gander. I saw this on another TTU board, but thought it was interesting.
= 5-3
= 5-3 (L to 3-8 Kansas)
= 5-3 (L to Iowa State)
= 5-3
= 5-3 (L to New Mexico)
= 7-1
= 5-3 (L to 2-10 Colorado)
= 6-2
= 8-0
= 5-3 (L to Houston)
= 4-4 (L to Iowa State)
= 5-3 (L to Iowa State)
Seems like 5-3 is about where we live after 8 games. I obviously make no prediction on where we end up, but think about it. If things had held to form and we had been beat at OU (like about 90% of us predicted) and beat ISU (like about 99% of us predicted), we'd still be at 5-3. I would love 8-0 or 7-1 like the rest of you.
But to this point in a season, we are pretty much on track. This team has some obvious upside with all the good young offensive talent. But this defense ... wow. We could easily be 5-7 at the end. We could also end up 8-4 (though at this point I don't see that as being likely.)
