Sick and Tired

OF

1. Reading all of the negative things week after week about our current HC.

2. Reading about our HC being compared to Leach week after week.

3. The overall pessimism over the future of this Texas Tech team and how we will perform under this HC.

First I'm going to lay this out there, I dont know if some of you can handle it or not, but sadly Mike Leach is gone.

Mike Leach is staying gone. Mike leach WILL NOT be back.

Guys I know the performance against Iowa State was downright terrible, but you have to accept that we are dealing with possibly the youngest football team in the Big 12 right now. To anyone who thinks TT is some kind of horrible failure why dont we take a look at the "best" recruiting in the conference and see what they do with all of these extra resources they have.

2009 Longhorns - Go 12-0 under Mack Brown and fall in the national title game.

2010 Longhorns - Not really sure whats going on here, this team must be young, it'll get better next year. Wont it ?!?

2011 Longhorns - Not quite on the same path as last year, but not exactly the path to greatness they seem to think they are so entitled to.

Now what makes Tech so special?

Is it the fact that we are consistently mediocre, and can sometimes deliver a key loss to the "greats" in the conference?

I think TT is trying to change this cycle of mediocrity, and I dont think many are giving him the timeline he deserves to do it. We are still dealing with a majority of Leach recruits who will be finishing up soon (1-2 yrs) and we have been consistently strong on the recruiting front ever since Tommy stepped on this campus. Not only has offensive recruiting been strong, but defensive recruiting has been amazing.

I know many on here have grown impatient hearing of change coming, and witnessing these changes haven't always been pretty, but give this program a year or two, let these guys mature, and I think we will see truly great things come from Texas Tech.
