A plan to fix the fanbase......

I have held my silence long enough. For those of you that know me, I am not a Tech graduate, I am just a huge fan. I have a brother that graduated from Tech and many close friends that have as well. My brother was in school during the height of the Leach years, including the year he was canned, and he sees absolutely no problem with the way it was handled. Well, as someone who has experienced my fair share of being forced out of the work place, (in case, perhaps illegally) and someone who wants the see Tech succeed, I have a list of things that MUST happen if Tech will ever get over the near destruction of the program.

1. Mike Leach MUST be paid. The Tech administration must be held to account for what they did in firing him without cause and breaching his contract. The administration needs to just be honest and say listen, we wanted to fire Leach, everything proves it, and we will pay him his contract and wish him on his merry way so he can go ahead and coach somewhere else again. Does not matter if Hance and the boys grow and pair and do it or if a Judge orders it. I don't care if this thing goes to the Supreme Court, it must be done, it is the moral, legal and ethical thing to do, and also, Leach must be given the Alamo Bowl Bonus plus credit for the win.

2. Adam James-This is two-fold. First, AJ must come out and say listen, I didnt care much for Coach Leach, but he did not harm me, it should not have cost him his job, I at times acted like a baby, and I understand why 90 perecnt of the fanbase hates me. The first part he already acknowledges. He should also apologize to Coach Leach personally and thank him for the chance to play DI football in the best offense (or what was the best offense to ever take a college football field.) If he was to do this, we Raider fans need to accept his apology, and move on. When he catches TD's and makes first down plays, cheer, hes doing it for the Red Raiders. Don't cheer when he gets creamed. That makes us look like spoiled brats, we are being no better than Adam has acted. Hes gone after this year anyway. After that, no more Adam or Craig.

3. Tuberville- The fan base needs to be unified more than ever to pull this off. Send a loud and clear message to Tuberville about what we expect as Tech fans. We THROW the ball, we dictate what the other teams defense does and WE CONTROL THE TEMPO OF THE GAME!!!!!!!! We make them PLAY OUR SPEED!!!! We got for it on Fourth and goal. We dont kick unless its to win the game. Our offense scores Touchdowns, not attempts field goals. We win with a scary good offense and a defense that isnt great but is good enough. We dont win with 14-20 points and an all star kicker and a great defense. the last big 12 team to have that was Nebraska and we creamed them and everyone said defense wins. We put that to bed in the form of a 31-10 butt kicking in LINCOLN with a friggin Junior walk on back up QB! If we need to boo anyone, lets start booing Tuberville for his utterly gutless play calling and game management. Boo Neal Brown for running draws on first down. The only Coach I think is really trying hard is Glasgow. Hes just trying to mold his athletes into what needs to execute his defense. Also, Tuberville needs to quit demeaning his players by saying how bad they are. Screw that. how about we have a great offense and gutsy defenders and we are going to kick your butt. I dont care if we play in Austin, Norman or whereever. Also, Tech has its own traditions, quit trying to move Auburn West to Lubbock. Its insulting to Alums and the school you claim you love to coach at.
