1. Fozzy Whitacre will break over 100 yards but Baron Batchand Eric Stephens will cover that and add 75 yards to boot. I ‘d like Batch to ramble for 200 yards. But I am dreaming.
-
2. Techs offensive line will win the battle against the UT down linemen by just doing their jobs. 2 x Sacks allowed, no hurries 20 x pancakes and W. Muschamp is going to have to apologize to the Longhorn Booster club. I’d like to see Sam Acho on his backside 10 times on Saturday night but in fact he’ll get 5 or 6 tackles. Taylor Potts will need to run for his life at least 4 times.
-
3. Detron Lewis is going to catch 7 - 9 for 100 yards and make Chykie Brown look kind of inept. I ‘d like to see a bubble screen for 70 yards with Blake Gideon flat on his behind. But Lyle Leong will only catch 5 for 50 and 2 touchdowns because Zou get the other 3 x Potts passing TDs.
-
4. Will Ford and Cody Davis will both get picks in the third period but have to lateral for the defense to score. What really happens is John Chiles is going to break at least one for 25 yards. But the other UT receivers are plagued by "hearing feet" it’s a 4 x turnover night for UT. Just contain Cody Davis and F. Whitacre. Really.

5. Brian Duncan draws double teams all night but it doesn’t work because Rumph, Fehoko and Scott each tally a sack. Garret Gilbert will escape at least 3 x sure TFL but won't totally get free. Raiders can and will hurt the Horns at least 3 times for a serious QB knock down tackles known affectionately as sacks. You heard it here first.

6. I don't want to admit it but UT’s punter is better than our punter. He’s going to erase field position at least twice. But he’s also going to bobble a snap because the TTU special teams are going to chase him around. Much like OU in 2007, late in the game Mack will gamble on a trick play it's not going to work and Arron Crawford or Ontiveros or Blake Emmerit are going to hunt down the up man and tackle him for loss. J. Lacour is going to be perfect averaging 43. 5 yards on a minimum of 3 x punts in the 2nd and 3rd periods. I don't think Tech will punt in the fourth unless they are leading by 2 scores.

7. I’d like to see the Tech dline throw or knock a couple of Horn O linemen out of the game. Just to even the odds. But that’s dreaming Texas will be able to execute at least four series for a score. They do it all the time and eventually they will find us looking and score on a pop up the middle. But it’s no good to kick field goals those 2 x they kicked in 2008 are still sticking in Mack Browns cornbread clogged throat. They are going to get greedy and it is going to bite them B. Bird and C. Davis followed closely by Mitchem are all going to tally double digit tackles. Texas suffers a minmum of 4 x three and outs,Tech not so much.

8. Special teams: I wrote earlier this week this sort if intrigues me, which one of the look alike Coaches is going to stink it up or spring an nuke weapon on the other? M.Brown has two short kicks and a reverse toss back waiting . Tuberville has a fake punt, kick off return reverse and a Austin Zouzalick pass on a fake FG in the bag. My money is on Zou. He’s got the lucky number and he has never done it before. Might just keep us out of overtime partners.

9. In the Navy they have a funny situation to deal with. When stalking each other in the submarine world they essentially play chicken underwater. It’s called the Crazy Russian when a US sub gets on the tail of Ruski sub they typically go into a wild gyration in order to break Sonar lock. There are two of these "insane entities" on the field Saturday night Will Muschamp and Coach Willis. One of them is going to hit the right call against a screen or a draw and knock the ever living crap out of the opposing QB. This is going to cause one of two things to happen another McCoy moment or a Sheffield save the day event. It will happen. One QB is going to get knocked out. At least for a series.

10. Crowd versus sanity: There is too much arrogance and too much pent up energy for the Horn sideline to escape without a mental error. It will be because the 163.5 decibels will wear on some sophomores nerves. They won’t hear, see or acknowledge the play change late in the 3rd or early in the fourth period. The result will be the go ahead score. This game is about who can get 2 x scores ahead and then run out the play clock. The two head coaches are too much alike. The energy level of the Raiders players negates the athlete factor UT brings. The operating environment gives Tech 6 points. I heard a Referee say it today. The fans of Texas are irrelevant and an impediment in the Raider crater. They can‘t out howl the Red clad fans. And they don’t have enough private jet parking spots at the Lubbock International Airport to bring in enough fans to overcome the induced anger at being thought of as UT’s short legged little Brother. Antiswarm got it right, the stars and the moon and the planets have lined up. Watch your "6" (a$$) Horns - the dude with something to prove is about trash your world. Yeah I’d like to see that.
