Lady Raiders come home Monday after beating Vancouver Island University, 100-34, Saturday evening in Nanaimo, B.C. Curry started 3 sophs & 2 frosh. They really were not in danger of losing any game and represented Tech very well. They had a 78-41 victory over the University of the Fraser Valley at the Envision Athletic Centre in the city of Abbotsford on Aug. 11. Before that they started their Canada tour with a 71-65 win over Vancouver Select on Monday, Aug. 10, at the Richmond Olympic Oval, the 2010 Winter Olympics skating place. Their second win was over the University of British Columbia, 85-49, at War Memorial Gym the next night. The leading scorers, as well as I can tell, were Christine Hyde with 51 points, Kierra Mallard with 48 points and Casey Morris and Antiesha Brown with 35 and 37 points respectively. Mallard had at least 25 rebounds to lead the team. Welcome back Lady Raiders. It looks like the added personnel will be a good thing.
