Texas Lawmakers Display Ignorance of College FB Economics

Apparently, a couple dozen Texans think UH belongs at the Big XII-8+6 table . . . which is about as friendly of a table as the one headed by Archie Bunker. They also seem to overestimate the relevance of a certain university and its ability to turn on television sets. This collective brain trust first erred in submitting their plea to the conference office instead of DeLoss Dodds. They further erred by making a plea that TCU also be given a place at the table. The problem is that TCU's game attendance has already been frowned upon, yet it bests UH's attendance by almost 13,000 seats per game. Houston, the 4th largest American city, can only sell 25,242 tickets per game, yet we are supposed to believe there is a massive following that will eagerly beat down the gates with Big XII-8+6 admission?
