Since Colorado is officially gone, and Nebraska is expected to follow suit, why not have some fun and revamp the Big12 the way I think it could work.
Because the conference is losing a mountain team and a program gushing with tradition and prestige, why not replace them, instead of splitting up the conference and making us all have to deal with those Californians?
Replace Colorado with another mountain team that no-one wants to make the drive to either. the only team we can all agree on is those blue-turfers, Boise State. Its logical because they're looking to get into a BCS conference, and what better way to force a couple home defeats upon them than to send some boys from Texas up there once or twice a season to teach them how to lose.
Replace Nebraska with another team steeped in tradition. Baring a huge turn of events, Nebraska is poised to join the Big10. Another team being courted was Notre Dame. However they will refuse to be in a conference larger than 12 teams (some sources say). So why not, it Nebraska becomes the 12th team in the Big10, invite Notre Dame to replace them? I'm not sure on the particulars of their TV deal, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind an annual Texas-Notre Dame Game, played in Jerry's Big Stadium. Imagine the potential revenue a game like that could spawn.
Well thats my two cents. Hope y'all saw Tubbs on espn today
