Texas Tech head football coach Tommy Tuberville has told school officials there he will not pursue further the head coaching vacancy at the University of Miami, a highly placed official at a Big 12 school told the Statesman Thursday afternoon.

"I think he could get it," the source said of the Miami job, "because he’s been there before (as an assistant from 1986-1993 and as defensive coordinator the final year). But he has shown no interest. They called and talked to him, but he didn’t want to visit with them."
