Pinkel reiterated his support of his quarterback when asked about replacing Gabbert with a backup against Texas Tech. Gabbert was asked about it, too, and fired off this dandy: "Well, I think you guys are the ones who want me pulled. Everybody on my team wanted me out there. I wanted to be out there. Your guys' opinions on who should get yanked, what should be called really does not matter to us at all."
