For coming off the bench and playing your game. There was no crying or complaining on your part (at least not in the media). This guy was the spark we needed to pull out a much needed win.
But more importantly, his post game speech. I am in the military, I have been injured, I am currently stationed in San Antonio recovering from my injury and I was at the game this weekend. Personally, I always feel uncomfortable when someone approaches me to thank me for serving. Those of us that are in the military did so because we volunteered. Now I am not speaking for the whole military but a great majority of us see our time in the military as doing our job. But for this young man who has constantly been bashed in Lubbock and ridiculed on these boards (I am guilty as well) to come out after a huge win and speak on his experience with our wounded warriors and give thanks....well I think it shows a great deal of maturity and dare I say....leadership on his part.
Great win, Great team effort, I was very lucky to be in the stands.....thank you Texas Tech Red Raiders and thank you Taylor Potts for not giving up and making my trip to Lubbock a memorable one.
